The Chinese art troupe gave its premiere for the 31st April Spring Friendship Art Festival at the Mansudae Art Theatre on Saturday.
First Lady Ri Sol Ju enjoyed a ballet choreodrama “Giselle” given by the National Ballet of China, together with Choe Ryong Hae, Ri Su Yong, Kim Yong Chol, Kim Yo Jong, Pak Chun Nam and other senior party and government officials.
When the First Lady arrived at the theatre, she was warmly greeted by Song Tao, head of the International Liaison Department of the C.C., Communist Party of China, Li Qun, vice-minister of Culture and Tourism of China, and Li Jinjun, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK.
She warmly welcomed the Chinese art troupe’s visit to the DPRK and had a friendly talk with the guests in an amicable atmosphere before watching the performance.
The National Ballet of China wonderfully represented “Giselle” with high artistry, touching the heartstrings of the audience.
At the end of the performance, spectators mounted the stage to present bouquets to the performers, raising loud applause.
Ri Sol Ju, together with senior party and government officials, congratulated the performers on their successful performance and extended warm greetings to them.
