Korean Children’s Union Members Greet Its Founding Anniversary

The members of the Korean Children’s Union (KCU) across the country significantly celebrated the 72nd founding anniversary of the union.

They laid floral baskets and bouquets before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and mosaics picturing their smiling images in various parts of the country and paid tribute to them.

Schoolchildren joined the KCU at the joint meetings of its organizations held in every province.

Art performances were given by schoolchildren in different parts of the country such as the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren’s Palace, Hyesan Square, Kaesong Schoolchildren’s Palace and the Songdowon Youth Open-Air Theatre.

Dancing parties and sports and amusement games of schoolchildren took place at schools, junior middle schools, and other primary schools across the country including the Pyongyang Primary School for Orphans, Sinuiju Primary School for Orphans and Kangso Primary School in Kanggye City.

Schoolchildren spent pleasant times at the Kaeson Youth Park, Munsu Water Park, Central Zoo and other recreation grounds for the people.
