The participants in the military parade for celebrating the 70th founding anniversary of the DPRK received warm welcome from the citizens on their way around the capital city on Sunday.
The streets, Yonggwang, Chollima, Sungni and Taehak in particular, were lined with the people, each holding the national flag, bouquet or balloons.
The motor vehicles carrying the paraders set out in front of the Pyongyang Grand Theatre, preceded by the cars with the flags bearing the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.
As these vehicles passed through the streets, the working people, school youth and children warmly welcomed them.
Seen among the crowd were war veterans, honoured disabled soldiers and discharged soldiers waving at the on-board service personnel. The latter waved back, the orders and medals glittering on their chests.
Also, enthusiastic cheers were heard from Changjon Crossroads, Okryu Bridge and Taehak Street, along which the mechanized units were proceeding.
